The Crash on Easter Ave.

Last Friday afternoon Brad was a block away from our house and was hit head on in a car accident. Thankfully, he walked away with some cuts and bruises. Yesterday we went to pay our final respects to the Dodge Hemi. You can see part of the other driver's car in the grill of our Dodge. The airbag that saved Brad.

The shattered windshield that Brad almost put his fist through.

Assessing the damage with our friend Terry Dover, who was at the scene when it happened. It happened in front of his house. Luckily, he is a retired fireman and his wife, a RN. They both were angels that day!

Packing up Brad's things. The Dodge was his office. I cried as I pulled everything out of it. It was like saying goodbye to an old friend!!
Amongst the stuff, were a few BOM just in case.

I know it's crazy, but I had to give the Dodge, or as we called him "the Siver Bullet", one last hug goodbye.
Oh, and here is the damage to the car that hit Brad. It is toast.

A colorful Easter Sunday

Easter 2010. Samantha wanted to die eggs and I was so thrilled when the older two joined in! Bunny peep lollipop. Gross but cute.

Easter Sunday we had a wonderful array of food, friends and family. Samantha made labels for all the food items...

...including the ham!
Me in my pretty apron
Ronna and Matthew sharing Easter eggs during our Easter egg hunt!

Then we took what was a beautiful Easter holiday and turned it into "hillbillies on parade"as the kids wanted to shoot Brad's pellet gun. Pretty soon we were all shooting the gun. So wholesome. Rebecca Tice pictured below-what a steady hand!

Out of the way kids! Never mess around with a mom holding a pellet gun.
A quick lesson
Nick got attached to the toy pony.
Joe and Nick-target practice!
Lock and load, Emmies!

Like the target that Brad hung up for us to aim at?
What a great day

BEP!!! Emily turned 13!!!

We decided to go see Black Eyed Peas this year for her birthday. It was a really awesome mother/daughter night out! Signing up with the hopes to win Justin Beiber tickets!!!

Of course, the first stop was the bathroom so that Emily could put on her new BEP tee that she bought!

I forgot how much time you spend at a concert waiting for the show to start!

What a show!

Midnight and time to head home
We also got to have a Mexican dinner with Nanny and some of the girls for Emily's birthday . This is her embarrassing video.

Denver Museum with the Wilson boys

While Emily was in Nebraska for spring break Joe, Samantha and me decided to round up the Wilson boys and head to the museum...Here is our day...First stop- THE SPACE Exhibit. This exhibit had something to do with heat and infrared light.

Why they were showing their chest hairs I have no idea?

At the sleepover the night before the boys were making prank phone calls and I caught all of them in the act AT THE MUSEUM!!

Even Samantha caved under the peer pressure and made a call of her own!

It wouldn't be a visit to the museum without trying on the mule deer ears.

Those are upside down, Critter.

Testing out who is faster, an antelope or a cheetah?

The cheetah won this round because the naughty cheetah (Tanner) pushed the antelope (Christopher) down. The circle of life. So sad.

This was about lunch time and I was tuckered out

The HEALTH exhibit was interactive. This is the arm span measurement do-hickey. That's Sam.

We're climbing, we're climbing...

We're walking, we're walking, except in Critter's case he danced across the screen. This is me and Sam's walking profile.

Joe and Critter's (notice Critter's dance move)

This was my favorite experiment. It measures your brain waves and the idea was to keep your brain calm and relaxed which would then move the ball. The object was to move the ball to your opponents side first. Tanner and Critter played against each other and Sam and Joe played. Being siblings all four of them kept that ball floating right in between them. Their brain waves measured almost exact! Here is where Christopher pulled ahead.

This is our little dwarf friend that is hidden throughout many of the animal exhibits at the museum. Something I never knew about until Christopher told us! Christopher was in charge of this little guy and had no problem finding him all day. This particular dwarf was hanging out with the dinosaurs. Isn't he precious!

This is Lucy, the scary prehistoric lady. And, this is Christopher about ready to give Joe a "5 star"

Oh my, look how much they have grown!!

End of day and the boys start harassing the geese.

Of course, anyone who lives in Colorado knows that now they have to wash the goose poop off their shoes before they can get in the car.
