My Babies on our recent photoshoot

HEY THERE to all my dear blogger friends and family! I love viewing your blogs and I only hope I can keep up with you. It has been ages since I have posted so I have overcompensated for the time lost with a lot of entries. This is a photo of my little darlings after a photo shoot we did. They were so happy that it was over! Incidently, I have a new website that features my photography business. www.lisaackerphotography.com Check it out!

Mother Nature

There is nothing I enjoy more than taking pictures of this amazing state we live in. These are some photos I took of Colorado-the greatest place on earth.

We're playing basketball!!!

This summer we poured a new driveway and basketball court for Joe (oh, and the girls). Getting it assembled and installed was the hardest part and we had to bring in help from the family!

Here is Brad, my brother, Mike (and my goofy nephew Spencer) putting on the final touches.

Weekend in Winterpark

We took a short weekend get away to Winterpark and had a ball enjoying the beauty all around us. Our friends Jim and Carol Miller were so gracious. They let us stay at their beautiful cabin in Tabernash.

This tree was amazing. I called it the "Twilight" tree after the books by Stephenie Meyer that I am reading and obsessed with. For those of you who have read it, I imagined Edward lurking somewhere in the forest around us!

Funny story...We were strolling thru the town of Winterpark and the kids wanted to sit on this elk sculpture. Sam is mad in the first photo because Brad wouldn't put her up on the elks back end because there wasn't any room. So, I tried to help her up there and when I did, I pushed her forward and subsequently hurt Joes "twigs and berries"-as you can see from the second photo below. Right as I took this photo Samantha DID fall off into a pile of rocks and hurt her "privates" as she slid off the elk's tail. I love Emily's expression because she was caught in the middle of it all and walked away fine. Brad and I tried not to laugh.

This is Brad contemplating life on a carved out tree trunk. He is in his element.

Awwww....15 years of marriage and still going strong...

My world!!

First Day of School

Joe (8th grader) and Emily (6th grader) ride to school every morning with friends. They are both at Newton Middle School. It's hard to believe! They take good care of each other.
Samantha is on her own this year at Ames Elementary. We have been blessed to have her school grounds right outside our backyard gate! Here she is anxious to get going!

Acker Construction!!

Brad started his own business this summer-Acker Construction, llc.
So far, I am proud to say, he is doing well! We have lots of support from family, friends, and colleagues. We thank them for helping us get this dream off the ground. Next marketing tool-company t-shirts!! OHHHHHH!!!
