Love, Hope and Strength Bone Marrow Drive-December 2013

Cathie and her friend, Desiree Watcher.  Both angels on earth!  These are the gals that got the ball rolling for a bone marrow drive in honor of Brad,  put on by the Love, Hope and Strength organization.  We held it at our church with a bake sale.  The turn out was fantastic and I believe the final count for bone marrow donors was 56!!  It was an amazing day!  This is an organization that I could get on board with and hope to do that once we get through with Brad's bone marrow transplant this Spring.

Me, "getting on the list" with a simple swab of the cheek!

Nick Tice!
 Bryce and Becky Jackman!

Some of my daycare families came and donated!...The Carlsons, Dustin, Codi, Aidan, and Bailey

 The Basaks!
 The Jacksons!

Some of our family came to help, support and hang out.  Josh, Jake, Joe and Sam

More family and friends, my neice, Jamie Gannon, sister-in-law, Megan Acker, Sarah McKenna, Andrea Flinders, the Macfarlanes!
Olivia Wilson helped all day!  What a sweetie!
Emily and Samantha had to add another long table due to the many, many baked goods that were donated!   My family, friends, and ward family ROCK!!
And here is the miracle... after the bone marrow drive ended we found out within a few days
that Brad had 3 siblings that were a match to him.  Aaron, Derek and Lesa.  This is Brad with his youngest brother, Aaron, who will be our first choice for a donor!!!  Heavenly Father works miracles!

Another wedding, another Light the Night, another Halloween and feeding the homeless during Thanksgiving season!

Spencer and Jamyn had a beautiful reception in Parker.  We were happy to be there with family and friends.

Now just the girls...

Light the Night Walk 2013!   Brad was able to join us this year and carry his white "survivor" balloon!

Sammy Singer came with us
Of course, Grandma Jean and Grandpa Mark

We eventually found Cathie N and her boy, Ryan!
Halloween-Sam wanted to carve so she and I did all the work this year...

Sam was a Minnion from Despicable Me

The kids and I decided to steal an idea from a previous years YM/YW activity.  We made a bunch of sack lunches and drove them downtown.  We handed them out from our car windows.

I only have one photo from Thanksgiving?  Lame!
