APRIL and MAY 2016

Megan Acker had a birthday party and of course, you will find Brad out with the kids and Samantha with a kid on her hip. I love that my family loves kids.

We went to the Tom's Shoes Warehouse Sale at the National Western Stockshow.  A fun experience, $122.00 later!

Met Brad at Bonnie Brae Pizza and he looked like this when we showed up.  Always trying to get a laugh out of us.

Time to take the top off the Jeep! Finally!!

Followed Brad and Sam home from Home Depot after purchasing some new trees.  It was beautiful night in Colorado.

This is an event Brad and I went to for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.  Thrive Homebuilders bought a table as a sponsor. It was a formal event which Brad did not know so I showed up in rags.  I was mortified, but later tried to push it aside and have a good time.  Brad was only trying to make it a fun night by not telling me.  I met all his colleagues too, dressed in a 5 year old Old Navy dress.

Kicking the summer into gear with SMORES and a fire! Hoping to do many more of these this summer!

Face timing with Sister Acker (and Joe at BYUI)  Emily has been gone for only a few short weeks.  Regardless, we loved talking with her!!!

Olivia and Sam in Sacrament.

Easter holiday and all my kids are here!

Tie Die Easter eggs that were a mess.  My favorite is the egg that was exposed and Sam made it into a chick.  This poor egg only lasted a day before I had to throw it out.  El stinko.

ELDER ACKER RETURNS!!!

Waiting, waiting, waiting, his flight was delayed an hour and 15 minutes!

The happiest of reunions!!

Poor baby threw up a few times on the plane...I just loved hearing his voice and I stared at him from the back seat.

The next morning...oh how I loved to see him in his bed.  At home.

His garments and shirts were filthy, no longer white but a shade of brown and grey.  He worked hard!!

A spring storm the day before Elder Acker returns!

It started out not too bad at 6:30 in the morning, but then it never stopped until that night and it was a doosey!
Bradley came home early from work and took me to Walmart for some last minute necessities if we were to be snowed in!  I needed poster board and a bookshelf, most importantly-Ha Ha!

Tried shoveling the walkway several times but it would just fill up again and quickly at that!
The next morning.  This afternoon Joe comes home from his mission back to a snowy winter wonderland.

Emily Ann's mission call

Waiting as she prepares to open the call.

The glorious mission call letter from The First Presidency
Let's celebrate at Los Arcos, of course.  Emily's choice.
We had to start shopping right away as we don't have a lot of time.  The first day out shopping we found a darling raincoat.  A necessity for Louisville!!

Emily's endowments.  What a special night it was.  She did great.

Then, there came the tribulations and trials of a soon to be missionary...A car accident with Sammy Singer.  Just a fender bender but they got hit hard enough that Emily had a concussion.  She had it for about 3 weeks and this slowed her down a bit but didn't stop her!  This is her obvious pain as she battled a headache everyday.  I was hoping soup and grilled cheese would make her feel better!
